À travers des décors de rêves, constitués de paysages magnifiques sous le soleil australien, au milieu des kangourous, des koalas et des feuilles d'eucalyptus.
Bienvenue sur la prochaine édition du Tour Down Under, première grosse course (World Tour) du calendrier cycliste international !!
Cette année sur le parcours on retrouvera le traditionnel circuit de Tanunda, l'arrivée à Campbelltown (mais pas la difficile), et la dernière étape dynamique du Mont Lofty de 2023.
La bonne idée sera le grand retour de l'ascension de Willunga Hill la veille : environ 3km à presque 7,5 % , plus vue depuis 2020
Cela tombe à pic pour le come-back en terre australienne du français Julian Alaphilippe, qui était venu en 2014, et qui tentera de retrouver le bon rythme en lançant sa saison et relançant au passage sa carrière. Il y trouvera ici une belle opportunité de scorer d'entrée, que ce soit sur les étapes ou/et le classement général.
Concernant les autres concurrents, on notera l'absence du tenant du titre Jay Vine, qui "laissera le champ libre" à son dauphin de 2023 Simon Yates. Toujours pour le CG on retrouvera notamment Guerreiro, souvent en forme d'entrée, Onley, Ulissi, Ganna, les locaux Plapp, Haig, Storer, Howson, G.Bennett ou Harper.
Chez les sprinteurs : Ewan, Welsford (+ Van Poppel), Bauhaus, Viviani, Girmay ou Strong.
Parmi les autres plus ou moins puncheurs il y aura Covi, IGC, Serrano, Tesfatsion, Simmons ou Bouwman.
Du côté des jeunes, on surveillera le dernier vainqueur du Tour de l'avenir Del Toro, le champion d'Europe du clm Tarling, Staune-Mittet, Léo Hayter, Fisher-Black, Vader, Berthet, Dinham, Pithie ou encore le sprinteur Mihkels, pour ne citer qu'eux.

PRÉVISIONS MÉTÉO
La chaleur est attendue, notamment pour le début de semaine et jusqu'au vendredi inclus, avec des températures autour des 35 degrés. Ensuite ça baisse un poil pour le week-end (juste en dessous des 30°). Pas mal de vent aussi annoncé, attention aux bordures Monsieur Yates.
